U.S. markets closed June with record highs, led by tech giants and fueled by progress in trade talks with China, the UK, and Vietnam. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq rose 0.5% on June 30, while the Dow climbed 0.6%. Optimism around potential Fed rate cuts supported the rally, though the July 9 tariff deadline injects uncertainty.
June Nonfarm Payrolls beat expectations with +147,000 jobs, driven by government hiring and a drop in unemployment to 4.1%. However, slower private sector growth and mixed economic data have tempered rate cut bets.
Oil prices fell amid OPEC+ talks, gold and silver held steady, and Bitcoin remained near $107K on ETF inflows.
